Inheritance in an integral part of Islamic Shariah Law and its application in Islamic society is a mandatory aspect of Devine teaching of Islam. Hence, there is a legal share for relatives of the deceased in his estate/property.

There is no such evidence that the Prophet (pbuh) or the companions or the salaf or kalaf ever prayed Quran on behalf of deceased people. Similarly, there is no evidence to support that one can give his reward to another living person.
